Tales Of Tanush

Tales of Tanush

Tales of Tanush is shaped by three generations.

Mother, Daughter, and Grandchild, where care, making, and memory move quietly from one hand to another. At the heart of the brand lies Tanush, the grandchild, whose everyday play, imagination, and comfort guide every decision we make. What began as maternal instinct and a daughter’s lived understanding of childhood has grown into a philosophy of making Tales of Tanush. Mother, now a Nani, began embroidery in her 20s and later became a government educator. Now, post-retirement, her journey comes full circle as she builds Tales of Tanush alongside people who hold her heart.

Our brand philosophy rests on a simple belief:
Made for Real days, real play, and real childhoods.

Every piece carries a story of patience, care, and thoughtful making. For us, Imagination, care, and storytelling take priority over trends. When a child wears Tales of Tanush, they wear more than just something to put on. It connects the child to the caring hands that made it, the artisans who stitched it, the mom who envisioned it, the families who worked together, and the traditions passed down through generations.

We consciously step away from mass design language and fast experimentation. Instead, we embrace slow, mindful making, producing in small batches through intimate & intentional collaborations with artisan communities across India. Craft, for us, is an expression, not decoration. We value and embrace all the imperfections that come with the handmade and consider them as markers of care. Many artisans we work with create from their homes, where spinning, stitching, cooking, and caregiving happen within the same shared space. Fabrics move from room to courtyard to terrace. These families work together while sustaining a way of life that is self-sufficient, regenerative, and deeply relevant today.

In wearing Tales of Tanush, your child becomes part of a larger circle, one that values kindness, community, and respect for people and the planet. Tales of Tanush exists for families who value “meaning over momentum.” For those who believe clothes can hold stories. And for childhoods that deserve to be lived gently.

Brand Philosophy

At Tales of Tanush, we believe that what is made for childhood must be created with time, care, and intention. Childhood itself unfolds gently through movement, curiosity, and quiet moments that cannot be rushed. Our approach to clothing
follows the same rhythm.

We choose to make slowly, not because speed is unavailable to us but because slowness preserves meaning.

By choosing slow, we choose integrity. We respect the hands that make our clothes, the children who wear them, and the stories they carry. This is not simply how we create. It is what we stand for.
